I recently attended a web design class that Heather taught. Her class was very informative and I came away will many new skills and knowledge about WordPress. I was impressed by Heather’s open and responsive style of working with her students. She was very focused on trying to deliver the information that her class was seeking in a way that was most helpful to them. Heather also offered great real-world information that was very valuable.

Heather has the rare combination of creativity and analytical thinking. She’s really generous at sharing her knowledge and bringing along others with her. She’s very good at bringing order to chaos as I’ve seen with the running of the Sacramento City College Makerspace.
She’s easy to work with. I had the pleasure of teaching a couple of sections of MAKR 140 with her at Sacramento City College and I couldn’t have asked for a better co-teacher and colleague. She’s very good at both the online portion (using Canvas) as well as the in person portion – where she does a great job of making more complicated options easy to understand to students at a variety of levels.
I really can’t say enough good things about Heather.

In the time that I worked for Heather Hogan, her attention to detail and the ease with which she communicated with top-tier clients were unmatched. Her aptitude in juggling complex problems and organization while keeping a team of engineers engaged was simply refreshing. It was a real pleasure working for Heather both in the team lead and strategist roles.

I really liked this class [GC361 at Sacramento City College]. There were a few topics that were repetitive to 360 but it is always good at least for me to hear the same thing multiple times – as a reminder and just to make sure that I am still doing certain things as I should. This class really got me more into WordPress and helped me to feel comfortable to explore more features that WordPress offers.
Heather Hogan is very easy to communicate with and she excels at teaching you the software tools. Her Canvas page is well structured and she outlines a clear easy to follow schedule. There is homework due every week. Sometimes you will work on more than one project at a time. Do the work, turn in on time, and get an A.
Heather was an insightful, detail oriented colleague who helped me challenge my own assumptions, habits, and strategies as a Project Manager and Team Leader [at 10up]. Heather led our discipline group in her thoughtfulness towards team leadership and empathy, as well as organization and strategy. I’d be honored to work with Heather again or have her as a part of my team.
I had the pleasure of working with Heather on an RFP for a web project at Land Home Financial Services, Inc. From the onset she exuded a professionalism and a knowledge that set my team at ease. Not only was her knowledge of the web extensive, she has a good deal of experience in different industries that we were able leverage to help redefine our end goals. This fact truly set her apart from the others we interviewed for the project. During discovery, Heather was extremely responsive – she is no stranger to weekend and off hour work. She was very patient with my team and often bridged knowledge and information gaps on her own accord. The final product exceed our expectations. The highest compliment I could offer Heather is I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.
I have worked with some amazing professionals through catchafire but Heather is a stand out. She gave me what I needed (even though I wasn’t sure what it is I needed!) She obviously spent a lot of time, thought, and expertise into the web site audit – and she did it so quickly, I couldn’t believe it! My web site audit was a HUGE step in making @Wit’s End a reality.
